During my mini Marc Jacobs Beauty haul , I picked up Remedy Concealer Pen, an all-in-one eraser, brightener and corrector that promises to remedy the signs of aging, dehydrating and fatigue with just a few strokes.
The Remedy Concealer Pen comes packaged in a cool-looking black tube with a clear slit on the side that allows you to see how much product is left. There is a button on the top that you click to dispense product just like Yves Saint Laurent Touche Eclat. But unlike your typical clickable concealer that comes with a brush or plastic applicator, this has a patented palladium applicator. It claims to cool on contact to help reduce puffiness and did feel pretty cooling on the skin.
There are a total of 9 shades to choose from, which includes 2 correctors and 7 flesh colors. 00 Stand Corrected is a very light yellow corrector and 0 Bright Idea is an intense pinky peach color. I love peachy correctors under the eyes but this somehow made my NC30 skin look grey. I ended up getting 03 Up All Night, a light yellow-based color and a perfect match for my skintone.
The formula contains a Remedy Complex with caffeine, collagen, coconut water, vitamin extracts, powerful antioxidants and hydrating ingredients. It had a runny texture but felt super moisturizing and blended into my skin easily. I had read that some people complained about it settling into fine lines, but I personally did not experience any.
Coverage-wise, it was light to medium and very buildable. It left behind a natural-looking finish that is neither matte or dewy. I was able to get a good 5-6 hours of wear before the coverage started fading but thanks to the portable packaging and thin texture, you can easily reapply during the day if necessary.
Marc Jacobs Beauty Remedy Concealer Pen is available at Sephora for $39.
