Rimmel Glam’Eyes Day 2 Night Mascara Review and Swatches

I have always been a fan of Rimmel Glam’Eyes Mascara so when I saw the new Glam’Eyes Day 2 Night Mascara, an exact dupe of MAC Haute & Naughty Lash Mascara, I immediately brought it home!

Available in two shades, 001 Black and 003 Extreme Black, the Glam’Eyes Day 2 Night Mascara uses a single brush with a double cap system to create up to 75% more length and 12x more volume.

The pink cap on the top is for lengthening. It screens out most of the formula, leaving the wand with just enough product to add a bit of length and definition. The brush also works very nicely on both my top and bottom lashes without any clumping but the effect is a little too natural for my liking.

The black cap, on the other hand, is for thickening. It definitely gives a more dramatic effect and does a good job thickening and darkening my lashes. However, the formula gets really clumpy, even with just one coat. Using a lashcomb is a must and I would recommend applying this on top lashes only.

All that aside, the mascara does wear well with no smudging, smearing or budging and comes off easily with warm water and soap.

Overall Rating:

Rimmel Glam’Eyes Day 2 Night Mascara is available at Wal-mart for $7.
