MAC Pearlglide Intense Eye Liner Reviews and Swatches

April 6, 2010

I have always loved MAC Pearlglide Eye Liners so how can I resist the newly formulated Pearlglide Intense Eye Liners from the Art Supplies Collection?

MAC Pearlglide Intense Eye Liners

The Pearlglide Intense Eye Liner come in 6 gorgeous colors that are highly metallic with intense pigmentation. Like the original Pearlglide Eye Liners, the texture was ultra creamy and applied smoothly without tugging the skin. The liners also stayed put very well once they set with zero fallout. Definitely worth the $14.50!

Almost Noir is a burgundy plum with golden flecks, which reminds me of MAC Trax eyeshadow.
Designer Purple is a beautiful vibrant violet.
Petrol is a dark navy color. I don’t find this color to be that special.
Undercurrent is a bright teal with gold shimmer.
Industrial is a lighter version of Petrol with more silver undertones.
Black Line is nothing like the “true black” as described on MAC’s website but a gorgeous dark gold mixed with green. One of my favorites for sure.

Black Line looks so pretty, although I did not pick it up. Somehow on me it looks more green than on your swatch. Did you pick up all of them? xx

I didn’t get all the hype for these at first.. and then I swatched them at the store and it was instant love! All the colors are so pretty, but I limited myself to just two (for now lol).

    Julie,

If I could only pick one color, I’d either go with Undercurrent or Designer Purple.

Yay the consitency of these are awesome! I bought black line (like Phyllis says its more greenish with gold flecks) I love it! I actually like using it for daytime. It’s softer than using black but still enough to define very well. I hope they make it permanent too!!

    hey phyllis
would you say these stay on better as compared to those rimmel underground shimmer eye pencils (i think that’s what they’re called) ?

    let me know 🙂

Undercurrent looks so much greener in your picture, but on the MAC site it looks much more blue. I’m looking for similar colored shadow – any suggestions? Trying to match to the blueish color on their site could be a disaster!

    Nat,

Yes the MAC ones stay on a lot better and the colors are also more intense.
