Taking it all off is probably one of the most tedious yet unavoidable chores for all you makeup addicts out there. Today I will cover briefly how you can take everything off without spending hours and hours in the bathroom.
• The best way to take off all facial makeup is to use a cleansing oil followed by a foam or gentle cleanser. My newest faves are Kose Softymo Deep Cleansing Oil followed by Clean and Clear Daily Pore Cleanser.
• To remove eye makeup effortlessly, pick a duo-phase eye makeup remover like Lancome Bi-facil or Ponds Bare and Repair. Soak a cotton pad with the remover and press against your eyelid for 10-15 seconds. Next, dip a Q-tip into the remover, close your eyes and gently go back and forth on your lashes to remove any remaining mascara. Whatever you do, remember to use *extra* care since the skin around your eyes is only 0.5mm thick.
• For lip makeup, go with a remover formulated specifically for the lips (I like one by Kanebo).

i use it on my whole face to remove all makeup.
hey, is it true that we Asians=yellow skin based MUST no matter what use yellow based foundation? im really confused here. cos its lk we r yellow, and we still gotta put something yellowish on our faces?? haha. pls guide me!
2. what exactly are tones, shades, undertones? and who’s warm, cool?
im having a big problem here..
*MAC, NC range are for yellow? but i always thought Asians are Warm tones. hope u can clarify my doubts!! will really appreciate=D
Hi Phyllis!
Did you try the Viva Glam VI lipstick? What do you think about?
hey Bet, NOT all Asians should use yellow-based foundations, only those with yellow undertone(please note the difference). Think about it this way, people buy foundations to even out their skintone/cover up flaws so you should try to find a perfect match to your natural skintone. If you have warm undertones yet use a foundation with cool undertones, it will only look really unnatural. When we use the term “yellow-based”, it does not mean bright yellow. The color should still look like flesh with just a teeny bit of yellowness in it. Having said that, you should avoid really yellow looking foundations.
If you need a more detailed explanation, I can write an entry on this.
yes phyllis! i need a detailed explanation.. i’m from Singapore/asian. and i just got a NC range foundation. just wondering(im confused) we have warm(yellow) undertones, how come we’re using Neutreul Cool range? omg so confusing.
okay okay so i just gotta remember, next time if im getting any make up, i should just go for yellow based?
p/s: this is off topic, but im also having probs getting blushes. sick of sticking to the same colour! May i know if for teens like me should avoid really dark colours, say apricot peach dark pink. we should go for purple-ish pink?
Yes teens should avoid really dark colors and it’s not just blush, it’s pretty much everything else – dark lipstick, dark eyeshadow etc. Having said that, there are still a gazillion colors you can choose for your blush. Peach, pink and berry are all good colors. The key is to pick a color that looks natural.

I’m so happy you use Clean & Clear Daily Pore Cleanser! I’ve been using it as my daily cleanser, but almost all of my friends hate on it, saying that Clean & Clear products suck. I don’t know about their other products, but I LOVE their Daily Pore Cleanser! It’s so cheap and effective!
