Over the weekend, I finally got to play with the new and limited-edition NARS Dolomites Duo Eyeshadow from the Fall 2014 Night Caller Collection – the product behind the gorgeous warm coppery lids at Rodarte A/W ’14 and a look that was ALL the rage on the runway!
On the left side of the duo, we have a “shiny rose quartz”, which is a metallic cool-toned pink with just a tint of plum. On the right, is a reddish chocolate brown with fine shimmer. When worn alone, the colors could be a little tricky depending on your skin tone and eye shape. The highly metallic finish could leave some looking swollen while the warmer brown could make others look tired. However, when you put the two shades together, they complemented each other perfectly and just seemed to work.
The texture of the shadows were divine as well. They felt super soft and applied with such ease and great color payoff! The wear also did not disappoint and came in at about 8 hours with no fading nor creasing at all.
Definitely thumbs up for NARS Dolomites Duo Eyeshadow!
Above, I am wearing the left color all over the lid with the right color on the crease and under the eyes. Also sporting Stila Stay All Day Foundation and Concealer in Hue, Senna Form-A-Brow Eyebrow Stencil Kit in Neutral, MAC Fluidline in Blacktrack, Ardell Lashes in Wispies, NARS Blush in Day Dream and NARS Satin Lip Pencil in Isola Bella (can’t get enough of this!)
NARS Dolomites Duo Eyeshadow is available at NARS boutiques and narscosmetics.com and August 1, 2014 at Sephora, Department/Specialty Stores for $35.
