Anastasia See and Be Seen Makeup Kit Review, Swatches and Photos

Anastasia’s brow products have long been one of my favorites and recently, I got to try out her See and Be Seen Makeup Kit for Summer 2012, a four-piece limited-edition set for the eyes and lips.

Anastasia See and Be Seen Summer 2012 set

The See and Be Seen Makeup Kit comes in a black box and contains the following full-sized products:

* Tinted Brow Gel in Caramel, which contains Chamomile Extract to hydrate and soothe the skin while helping the hair grow stronger. I have always loved Anastasia’s Brow Gels for keeping my brows in place all day without flaking or hardening. The light taupe color also added natural-looking definition on my darker Asian hair.

* ILLUMIN8 Shadow Duo in On Set, a gorgeous combo of shimmery peachy beige and shimmery coppery gold that will look good on any eye color. The shadows are formulated with Brown Algae, Macadamia Derivative, Marshmallow Leaf Extract, Lemon Balm, Bilberry Extract, Green Tea, Sea Whip Extract and even Diamond Core Powder to hydrate, smoothe, diffuse light and firm the appearance of skin. Not only did they glide on like butter, the pigmentation was handsdown one of the best! And even without a primer underneath, I still got a good 8 hours of wear without fading or creasing. Impressive!

* HydraFull Gloss colors in Heiress and Plastic, both available exclusively in the set. Heiress is a bright strawberry pink while Plastic is a cool hot pink. The glosses are formulated with a “Kiss Me Quick” plant extract, Brown Algae and Balkan Botanical® Infusion to increase volume, smooth, firm, hydrate and revitalize. They went on smoothly and very lightweight with zero tackiness, much like my favorite MAC Cremesheen Glass. My lips felt soft and hydrated, with a nice pop of color and the prettiest lacquered look that lasted for HOURS.

The clear, flexible silicone paddle applicator (which I found interesting) reminded me of a mini spatula and worked super well, giving a nice and even application.
