MAC Volcanic Ash Thermal Mask Review

After the huge success of the Volcanic Ash Exfoliator, MAC released a new Volcanic Ash Thermal Mask ($19.50) with the Style Black collection.

This limited edition tar-black mask contains Volcanic Ash and natural oils to deep-cleanse and treat the skin to keep it moist, clean, soft and evenly-textured.

Unlike the Exfoliator, the Volcanic Ash Thermal Mask does not feel abrasive on my thin, sensitive skin. It goes on very smoothly with a pleasant scent and heats up right away when it comes into contact with water (you are supposed to apply this while your skin is still damp). The heating sensation only lasts for a few seconds but feels so soothing on the skin.

The mask also dries up quickly with a slight tightening effect and once it rinses off easily with warm water, I kid you not, results are INSTANT!

Not only does my skin feel super clean and soft with no dry feeling, I swear the pores around my nose have shrunk a little as well! I ended up loving this so much I went back and bought a backup within a week! MAC really should make this permanent pronto!
