Runway Beauty: Cool-Toned Neutrals at Altuzarra A/W 2015

February 16, 2015

“Calm, neutral, natural” was the idea behind the Ingrid Bergman inspired look at Altuzarra A/W 2015. Models wore “a cold face” that consisted of creamy gray and copper shadows on the lids, pale lips and sheer pink nails.

Makeup: Tom Pecheux for M·A·C Cosmetics
Nails: Julie Kandalec for essie

Pecheux started by prepping skin with M·A·C Mineralize Timecheck Lotion before adding M·A·C Studio Waterweight SPF 30 Foundation and setting with Prep + Prime Transparent Finishing Powder. On the eyes, he blended M·A·C PRO Grey Paint Stick on the inner corner to the center of both upper and lower lid and Penny Arcade from M·A·C Trend Forecast Fall ’15/Eye on the outer corners. He applied Very Violet Studio Eye Gloss to the center of the lid for a wet, sheen look and added Fascinating Eye Kohl on the waterline to open up the eyes. Finally, he subdued the lips with M·A·C Studio Waterweight SPF 30 Foundation and pressed Mouse from M·A·C Trend Forecast Fall ’15/Eye for a soft monochromatic gray look.

For the nails, Kandalec layered two coats of adore-a-ball for a subtle sheer pink tint.
