Slowly yet surely, summer is coming to end. I will start covering some of the hottest makeup looks from the A/W 2013 runway that you MUST try, followed by my very own version of it with tips on nailing the look. And first, we have a vibrant indigo smoky cat eye paired with clean skin and muted lip as seen at Jason Wu A/W 2013. Read on to see how makeup artist Diane Kendal created the look!
On the eyes, Kendal started by tracing models’ lashlines with Lancome Le Crayon Khôl in Purple Dusk and drawing a cat eye shape. Next, she filled in the area with a bright purple before blending an inky blue pigment – which will appear in the upcoming Jason Wu x Lancome Collection – on the crease. She then softened the edges to make the graphic look appear more feminine and finished with several layers of Lancome Hypnôse Drama Mascara in Excessive Black.
To keep the look balanced and modern (the key to making it work), Kendal kept the skin clean and glowy with Lancôme Teint Idole Ultra 24H Foundation and added colors from Lancome Blush Subtil Palette to the cheeks to slightly contour. The lips stayed nude with just foundation topped with lip balm.
