FOTD: Victoria Beckham in Glamour Magazine Inspired Winged Eyeliner and Pink Lips

February 7, 2010

As you all know, I ADORE Victoria Beckham’s winged-out eyeliner paired with pink lips in the March 2010 issue of Glamour magazine. So I finally picked up a copy over the weekend and did a similar look. Read on to find out what was used on her and what I used to dupe the look!

For her shoot, makeup artist Fulvia Farolfi used Teint Innocence Compact Makeup SPF10, Automatic Liquid Liner in Black and Rouge Coco Hydrating Creme Lip Colour in Rose Comete – all from Chanel – on Victoria. Here is what I used instead:

• Chanel Pro Lumiere Professional Finish Makeup SPF15 in Limpide 10
• Stila Espresso Eyeshadow to fill in eyebrows
• NARS Ashes to Ashes Single Eyeshadow
• Jill Stuart Illuminance Eyes in Layered Gem
• B Never Too Busy to Be Beautiful Eyeshadow in Bethlehem
• M·A·C Penultimate Eye Liner in Rapidblack
• Makeup For Life Lashes in Diva
• M·A·C Cremeblend Blush in So Sweet, So Easy
• M·A·C Shape and Sculpt Powder in Accentuate Sculpt
• M·A·C Fabby Lipstick on lips

Step by Step How To

1. Even out the skin with Chanel foundation.

2. Using M·A·C 266 Small Angle Brush, fill in eyebrows with Stila Espresso.

3. Apply NARS Ashes to Ashes on the eyelid. Layer with the dark brown color from Jill Stuart Illuminance Eyes Palette.

4. Highlight the browbone with B Never Too Busy to Be Beautiful Bethlehem.

5. Line the eyes with M·A·C Penultimate Eye Liner.

6. Apply fake lashes on top.

7. Blend M·A·C Cremeblend Blush onto the apples. Apply M·A·C Shape and Sculpt Powder along the bridge of nose.

8. Apply M·A·C Fabby Lipstick on the lips.

Very nice look phyllis. =) The creme blush looks great on you! Hmm i am thinking maybe you could have used a touch of shimmery color on the lids to catch the light (as how vic’s eyes did). but otherwise its a very great look!

I really like the winged eyeliner look, you did really good job in re-creating this look. I wish I could do the same but it takes a lot of practice for me. Thanks for sharing this post, hopefully I’ll try this tutorial out someday.

Oh I love this look too! I buy Glamour but haven’t got this issue yet, so I must soon! I love winged eyes but I’m still playing around with the “length” that suits my eye. I think my eyes suit a very small ‘flick’ rather than a longer one, so I’ll try this out with a smaller flick 😛

Thanks for this look, I think you did a great job as well!

Pretty! You did a great job recreating the look.

What is your favorite pale pink lipstick/gloss?

Love the look, Phyllis! I did a similar combo back when I was testing out the Illamasqua Foundation but I think I’ll try it again w/the Revlon PhotoReady this time. I love the taupe eyes and pale pink lips combo <3

I always envy your skin, btw. So smooth and flawless!

Thanks Cynthia! I’m not sure if you’ve seen this but I did a step by step tutorial on how to nail winged eyeliner:

Another thing you can do is to line with a pencil first then go over with a liquid since pencils are easier to control.

    Renee,

You MUST get this issue! <3 Victoria's spread plus there are some pretty good hair/makeup ideas for spring in there too.

    Julie,

When it comes to pale pink lipsticks and glosses, there are wayyyyyyyyyyyy too many that I like (a girl can never get enough of pink!) What kind of look are you going for?

  • Reply Phyllis February 8, 2010 at 6:54 pm

Thanks Kristie =) How you been girl?

Thanks alienman! Let me know how you like the Illamasqua Foundation and Revlon PhotoReady.

The trick to having “good” skin is all about moisturizing properly and faking it with the right makeup. Without the foundation, you will see my hideous undereye circles and broken capillaries.

True =] i’m looking for a nice pale pink/nude lipstick… have you tried MAC Pretty Please, Angel, Blankety, Creme d’ Nude, or Hue? If so which do you recommend the most out of those? (Or anything else in that color range…)

    Thank you.

If we don’t have the Jill Stuart Illuminance Eyes in Layered Gem, what will be a good dupe from MAC or other available brands in the US?

You look much better than Beckham
