Coppertone Waterbabies Spray SPF50 Review

May 21, 2007

I admit it – I only picked up Coppertone Waterbabies Spray SPF50 (~$6) because I fell in love with the pink bottle and the baby. Lucky for me, this sunscreen is so much more than just a cute bottle.

The sunscreen contains Avobenzone (3%), Homosalate (13%), Octisalate (5%), Octocrylene (2%) and Oxybenzone (4%) for both UVA and UVB protection.

Thanks to its super gentle formula that is clinically tested to be non-stinging even on baby’s delicate skin, it works great on my sensitive skin. It never dries out my skin or breaks me out. It does go on a little greasy but for someone with dry skin like me, it is perfect and I do not need another moisturizer underneath. I have also worn makeup on top of this and it never makes my makeup slide off, not even when I lived in sunny LA.

Not to mention, you get a LOT of product for its price. It comes in a huge 8oz. bottle that lasts forever and all you need is one pump for the face and two for the arm or leg.

No wonder supermodel Heidi Klum is also an avid user of this!

For the Coppertone sunscreen spray, you wait until it dries before applying powder and makeup, right? How long do you wait until you apply it? And does it have a strong chemical smell?

Also, another question. Just recently I bought my first non-black eyeliner pencil. I always have used black or brown-black, and this was just an out of the blue, spontaneous purchase. What eyemakeup look would go best with using blue eyeliner? Like what eyeshadow colors and whatnot? Even better, can you do a makeup look for me using colored eyeliners? I think non-black eyeliners are tricky to use without looking unnatural and vampish 🙁 It’s more of a darker blue, but not as dark as navy.

Pui-Tien, I have no idea where you’re located but Coppertone is widely available in the US and even in Asia.
