Just like the Lash Blast, the Extreme Lash Plumper Mascara has a big plastic brush, bulky packaging and a patented fat-wrap formula that promises to wrap and plump every single lash, from root to tip.
So did it deliver the thickness it claimed? You bet! My lashes looked instantly fuller, darker and I love how you can really pile this baby on without clumping or ending up with stiff, brittle lashes. It also wears really well and does not smear/smudge until I take it off with warm water and remover.
My only complaint is the big fat brush. While it does help thicken, I find it hard to maneuver on my tiny Asian lashes (a long, slender brush like the one in L’oreal’s Clean Definition Telescopic Mascara tends to work best on me). Plus when it comes to the lengthening department, this does not seem to do much at all (see how short my lashes are in the picture below!) I would not recommend it unless you have longer lashes to begin with.
Kenzo’s newest invention, Cleansing Ice Jelly, is definitely not your ordinary cleanser. It contains Ginger plant water and Ginseng extract to clean and tone while stimulating circulation and improving blood flow for younger-looking, glowy skin. But what sets it aside from other cleansers is the texture. It goes on very lightweight, like a white jelly but turns clear with a water-like consistency upon skin contact. It also feels very gentle on the skin and cleanses with no tight/greasy feeling.
One word of advice, if you wear waterproof mascara or heavy makeup, this will not do the job completely. But as a cleanser for the AM in the upcoming hot summer months, this is perfect.
The Cleansing Ice Jelly is available at www.kenzousa.com and all Kenzo counters for $28.
Make Up For Ever HD Invisible Cover Foundation is the latest it thing in high-def makeup. The oil-free liquid foundation claims to offer medium to full coverage to cover skin imperfections flawlessly while remaining invisible on-screen and in real life. It is also rated as one of the must-haves on the sets of Gossip Girl, Heroes and pretty much all shows on CW with a long list of fans including actress Meryl Streep and singer Lady Gaga.
I have been wearing this for a month and I can’t rave enough about it! Read on to find out why!
Fantasy Lengths is Revlon’s latest collection of fake eyelashes. They come in self-adhesive and glue-on with a huge variety of styles and lengths that will fit different eye shapes. Included in each set is a very detailed instruction on how to apply them and a generous tube of lash adhesive.
Thanks to The Makeup Show LA, I have discovered Make Up For Ever 12 Flash Color Case. This cute palette contains 12 vibrant cream-based colors that can be used on the eyes, cheeks and lips and is sworn by all the pros in the industry (Celebrity Makeup Artist Sharon Gault also used this on singer Keri Hilson for her music videos!)
Lately, I have become obsessed with Kenzo’s Relaxing White Lotus skincare line. The line is inspired by white lotus and is all about milky textures and divine fragrances to help your skin relax. All products come in a white, minimalistic packaging and are suitable for all skin types, especially those with stressed-out skin.
The Relaxing Whipped Eye Cream ($45) is definitely my favorite from the line.
It contains plant water, white lotus, essential oils and mineral salts (which are the main ingredients in the White Lotus line) along with Actiflow to stimulate circulation and reduce black circles and puffiness, and Dormance/ Narcissus Bulb Extract to slow down cells to preserve energy.
The texture is very velvety and sinks in like a dream. My eyes feel instantly refreshed, moisturized and definitely less puffy. I also use this in the AM and never had a problem putting makeup on top.
