Besides the amazing Priming Moisturizer, I also picked up Glossier Haloscope Dew Effect Highlighter, a stick highlighter that combines skincare with makeup.
The Haloscope comes in a white twist-up stick about 3 1/4 inches tall with a clear cap. Unlike most cream-based highlighters, it utilizes a dual-delivery formula to give you a glow that’s not dry or glittery. The outer halo is enhanced with real crystal extracts for all-day enlightenment, while a solid core contains Coconut, Castor Seed and Sweet Almond Oil for a hydrated, dewy finish.
Out of the two shades available, I chose Quartz, a light neutral beige with super fine shimmer that will work on all skintones. The Nude Shiny Stick highlighter from Pat McGrath Skin Fetish 003 I recently reviewed was very similar, only a tinge warmer and more shimmery.
The highlighter glided on easily and instantly gave my NC20/25 skintone a pearly sheen without adding much color. The glow also lasted all day, despite its cream formula and the high 80s temperature.
But the best part was how quick and easy it was to apply this. You just run the stick from the brow bone to the top of the cheekbones in a C-shape (I also apply it down the bridge of the nose, which is optional) then blend with fingers – it takes seconds and even beginners can nail it!
Overall, I LOVE the Glossier Haloscope for its ease of use and the natural-looking, long-lasting glow it delivers.
