NARS China Seas Duo Eyeshadow Review, Swatches and Photos

The next product I am reviewing from NARS Spring 2014 Collection is China Seas Duo Eyeshadow.

The color on the left, described as an “iridescent turquoise with gold infusion”, is a shimmery golden turquoise color, just like NARS Bavaria Eyeshadow from the Fall 2013 Collection. MAC Surreal is lighter with more gold. MAC Aquadisiac is more green and less shimmery. The shadow applied with excellent pigmentation and a smooth texture that was easy to work with.

The color on the right, an “iridescent plum”, is a shimmery burgundy with very tiny blue sparkles. Though pretty, it can make the eyes appear bruised. It also felt drier and applied sheerer compared to the left shade. I would recommend using a primer or a cream shadow underneath to make the color pop.

Nonetheless, the wear of both shadows was good. I did not experience any creasing or fading for a good 8-9 hours.
