Runway Beauty: Minimal Makeup at Richard Chai Love S/S 2014

At Richard Chai Love Spring/Summer 2014, the makeup was “androgynous, minimalist futurism” and a perfect match with the neutrals and pops of turquoise and red in the collection.

Lead Makeup Artist: James Kaliardos for Maybelline

Maybelline Dream Fresh BB was applied to create a smooth, even base while Maybelline Dream Lumi Touch Highlighting Concealer added brightness under the eyes. Maybelline Baby Lips in Peach Kiss and Eye Studio Color Tattoo 24HR Cream Gel Shadow in Barely Branded brought soft color and light to the temples, cheekbones, bridge of the nose and chin.

Brows were naturally shaped and defined with Maybelline Master Shape Brow Pencil. Maybelline Color Whisper Lipcolor in Bare To Be Bold was lightly applied to the eyelids, for a hint of natural color and the look was finished with Maybelline Falsies Big Eyes Mascara applied to the roots of upper lashes only.

MaybellineColor Whisper Lipcolor in Bare to Be Bold and Maybelline Color Elixir Lipcolor (available beginning in November 2013) in Nude Illusion were combined to create a glossy yet natural nude lip.
