The Lip Stylo comes in a luxe-looking chubby pencil with a clever retractable design so all you have to do is twist up and apply directly onto the lips – talk about nice and easy! Ingredients include castor seed oil and Vitamin E to nourish and protect lips. It is also paraben, phthalates, fragrance and sulfate free.
There are six shades available, ranging from light to deep nudes with pink, beige and mauve undertones. Nude No.3 is a gorgeous medium nude with pink undertones, that is perfect for my NC30 skin. NARS Biscayne Park Satin Lip Pencil is slightly pinker. NARS Biscayne Park Satin Lip Pencil is darker and warmer. MAC 3N Lipstick is just a tinge lighter and glossier.
Like the NARS Satin Lip Pencils that I loved, this felt very creamy and glided on easily and evenly, giving great coverage with just one stroke. However, it did not feel as moisturizing on my dry lips and had a tendency to highlight flakes and fine lines. The finish was soft and satiny and the color managed to stay on well for 2-3 hours.
Bottom line, Hourglass Femme Nude Lip Stylo is perfect for delivering a quick yet gorgeous nude lip, provided that you keep your lips well moisturized before application. Oh and did I mention how easy application was and no sharpening is ever required?
Hourglass Femme Nude Lip Stylo is available at Sephora, Barneys New York, Bergdorf Goodman and Space NK for $30.
