Get Kristen Stewart’s Makeup Look at 2013 Met Gala!

May 7, 2013

Matching your eye makeup to your outfit can be a do when done correctly. Case in point? The gorgeous burgundy eye makeup Kristen Stewart wore at the 2013 Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Annual Costume Institute Gala. “I wanted to create a dark punk shape to the eye, but give it some edgy elegance by working in reds, burgundies and blacks. The look came together beautifully with the deep burgundy jumpsuit Kristen wore.” said makeup artist Beau Nelson.

Complexion
“To get her look, I started by massaging Chanel Sublimage La Crème Texture Fine into the face and gently patting Sublimage La Creme Yeux under the eyes for hydration. I applied Chanel Perfection Lumiere Long-Wear Flawless Fluid Makeup SPF 15 in 22 Beige Rose to the center of the face working outwards in small circular motions, buffing the product into the skin. Then used a concealer where needed to cover redness and brighten the under eye area. I contoured the face with Chanel Powder Blush in Plum Attraction under the cheekbones and used Chanel Rouge Coco Shine Baume on the tops of cheekbones for radiant dewy shine.

Eyes
“On her eyes I used Chanel Precision Lip Definer in Framboise as a creme shadow to define the shape and create a strong red base to apply the shadow to. I then used a mix of Chanel Powder Blush in Pink Explosion, the burgundy shadows from Chanel Quadra Eyeshadow in Eclosion and the grey shadow from Chanel Eyeshadow Duo in Misty-Soft to smoke up the eye, then lined the inner rim with a black pencil. On the brows, I used Chanel Sculpting Eyebrow Pencil in Brun Naturel. I curled the lashes and applied Chanel Inimitable Mascara in Noir to both top and bottom.

Lips
“On the lips I used Chanel Rouge Coco Shine Hydrating Colour Lipshine in Ingénue (available June 2013) and Chanel Rouge Allure Extrait de Gloss in Attirance.”
