MAKE Faye Toogood New Medieval Palette Review, Swatches and Photos

March 5, 2013

New York-based beauty brand MAKE teamed up with British designer Faye Toogood (who has worked with Opening Ceremony, Vivienne Westwood and Alexander McQueen) and makeup artist Ayami Nishimura to bring us a gorgeous Medieval Palette from the New Medieval Collection.

Using art and natural elements as inspiration, the Medieval Palette comes in the most gorgeous packaging with four Matte Finish Eyeshadows and four Matte Lipsticks:

Darkness – a dark charcoal gray

Cast Iron – a slate gray

Woad – a smoky navy blue

Ultramarine – a bright blue

Putty – a medium peachy nude

Rust – a medium brownish orange

Nude – a yellow nude

Magma – a bright orange red

The colors complemented each other really well and the looks you could do with them are endless. Despite the matte finish, the shadows applied easily with decent and buildable pigmentation. The matte lipsticks, on the other hand, were slightly drying for me and went on like a lip cream with good color payoff.

Overall, a cute palette with great colors that would work on most skintones.

MAKE Faye Toogood New Medieval Palette is available at weseebeauty.com for $25. One third of all sales on from MAKE is donated to the We See Beauty Foundation, dedicated to incubate and accelerate women-led, worker owned cooperatives.
