New York-based beauty brand MAKE teamed up with British designer Faye Toogood (who has worked with Opening Ceremony, Vivienne Westwood and Alexander McQueen) and makeup artist Ayami Nishimura to bring us a gorgeous Medieval Palette from the New Medieval Collection.
Using art and natural elements as inspiration, the Medieval Palette comes in the most gorgeous packaging with four Matte Finish Eyeshadows and four Matte Lipsticks:
* Darkness – a dark charcoal gray
* Cast Iron – a slate gray
* Woad – a smoky navy blue
* Ultramarine – a bright blue
* Putty – a medium peachy nude
* Rust – a medium brownish orange
* Nude – a yellow nude
* Magma – a bright orange red
The colors complemented each other really well and the looks you could do with them are endless. Despite the matte finish, the shadows applied easily with decent and buildable pigmentation. The matte lipsticks, on the other hand, were slightly drying for me and went on like a lip cream with good color payoff.
Overall, a cute palette with great colors that would work on most skintones.
