Maybelline Volum’ Express The Rocket Mascara Review, Swatches and Photos

Last week, I spotted the new Maybelline Volum’ Express The Rocket Mascara at Walgreens and was sucked into the bright packaging and pink applicator right away.

The Volum’ Express Rocket Mascara comes in a chubby cobalt blue tube with hot pink letters on it. It boasts a Supersonic Brush with micro bristles and a fast-glide formula to give your lashes 8 times as much volume with zero clumps. There are three shades available, Very Black (featured in this review), Blackest Black and Brownish Black.

Like the Pop Beauty Peak Performance Mascara I reviewed last month, the formula felt really wet. It coated my lashes thoroughly and dried up semi-fast without much clumping. The brush was on the bigger side but the bristles were small and short and worked great reaching the inner corners and lower lashes.

A few coats of this added decent volume and left my lashes feeling soft and not brittle. The wear was also great – no smearing nor flaking at all – and removing it was just as painless with a remover or plain warm water.
