The mascara comes in a glossy black tube with a cute silver floral design and is available in three colors, Brilliant Black (black), Cocoa Charm (brown) and Inky Indigo (navy).

To apply, you twist the dial on the bottom of the tube to dispense fresh mascara onto the built-in applicator on top. The instructions said to twist the base 5 full rotations during the first use then 4-5 clicks for each additional use. It took me almost 10 turns the first time but after that, the mascara came out easily with just a click or two.

Compared to your usual mascara wands, the lash comb applicator was TINY. It took me a few uses to get the hang of it and twice as much time to apply. But thanks to the comb design, it really helped separate clumps and reached every single inner and bottom lash with ease.

The vitamin E enriched, lash-protecting formula felt super wet. It coated my lashes easily without making them stiff or brittle but took much longer to dry. A couple of coats added natural-looking definition and if I really piled it on, I could see a significant difference in volume but not so much in length. The mascara also held up a curl all day without flaking or smudging, yet came off easily with warm water and remover.

All in all, Pop Beauty Peak Performance Mascara had the potential to be a good mascara but if you are looking for more dramatic results, be prepared to spend some time on the application.
