Runway Makeup: Hard-edged Glamour at The Blonds Fall 2012

At The Blonds Fall A/W 2012, lead makeup artist Kabuki working for M·A·C Cosmetics gave models “tough, hard-edged glamour” with winged out cat eyes in green and gold paired with red lips. So bold and fierce!

The Blonds Fall 2012 runway beauty

Face
* Studio Sculpt SPF 15 Foundation — blended over hydrated skin to perfect
* M·A·C PRO Sculpt Sculpting Powder Pro Palette — blended under cheekbones to contour
* Well Dressed Powder Blush — swept above contour for a bit of colour
* Vanilla Pigment — swept over high planes to highlight

Eyes
* Smolder Eye Kohl — applied to create cat-eye shape around eyes
* Pure Show Superslick Eye Liner — applied snug to the waterline of lower lashes
* Carbon Eye Shadow — blended over Smolder to set and diffuse through the upper eyelid, crease and also through lower lid and lashes
* Club Eye Shadow — applied over the center of the eyelid, as well as both inner and outer corners of eyes
* 7 Lash — one full band applied through the upper lashes, with the addition of a second pair’s trimmed inner corner, placed on the outer corners of eyes
* Opulash Optimum Black Mascara — applied through both upper and lower lashes to define

Lips
* Burgundy Lip Pencil — defines and contours the lip
* Redd Lip Pencil — blended through the center of the lip into Burgundy Lip Pencil

    Yeah right! I have Club eyeshadow and it doesn’t look like that under ANY light no matter how much you put on. It’s just not that green! Nowhere near.

      That’s pretty much exactly what I thought. Club might be “part” of this look, but there is no possible way you could get that color just from Club and… Carbon… No.

      Sorry I’m late, but it’s not simply carbon and club. Smolder eye kohl was blended over the entire lid, carbon was used to set and diffuse it, and club was applied over it… It does look that green layered over a black creamy base. Try layering club over blackground paint pot–it gives a similar effect, has less of a chance of creasing, and is a lot easier to do.
