Over the weekend, I attended The Makeup Show Chicago, the first ever in the Midwest. I had been looking foward to it for MONTHS and I am so glad I was not disappointed ☺ Read on to see some of my highlights!
Day 1 started with the Blogger Preview Event. I got to catch up with some of my fellow beauty bloggers and finally met the beautiful Elessa from PurseBuzz and Koren from EnKoreMakeup.

On Day 2, I finally got to check out the 50+ exhibits by all the top-notch makeup lines. I went TOTALLY crazy at Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics and ended up with their famous Lip Tars, Glitters, Nail Polish and the new Tint.

I also checked out some new brands, including Nurturing Force, whose Blot Out Offensive™ shine + oil control cream has won the hearts of many artists, along with Ruby Kisses, an uber cute line by Kiss Cosmetics and celebrity makeup artist Danessa Myricks (she’s such a doll!) In addition, I caught up with Liz from Yaby Cosmetics and was told to expect new palettes and a new eyeshadow formula based off my favorite pearl paints – can’t wait!
And of course there were lots and lots of makeup demos through out the day, including the awesome body painting by Make Up For Ever.

Finally, I wrapped up my day with a presentation by the awesome Sam Fine, whom I had interviewed in 2009. Sam was phenomenal and *so* inspiring! Not only did he give great, insightful answers to questions from the audience, he showed us how to nail his signature flawless complexion using cream products and a sponge. I also met the guru upclose afterwards and got my copy of his “The Basics of Beauty” DVD signed. Yay!

omg so much makeup! Looks like you had a great time, and I’m really curious about the drugstore primer that looks a lot like UDPP.
I sure did! I’ll post a review once I tried out the primer =)
OMG that looks like so much fun! And I adore Sam Fine. He’s so cool.
Yes he really is and he’s so nice in person too! Did you pick up his DVD? There are some really good tips in there.
Fun fun!
