MAC Art Supplies Collection Pro Longwear Lipstain Marker Reviews and Swatches

For a lasting pop of color on the lips, I am really digging MAC’s new Pro Longwear Lipstain Marker!

The Pro Longwear Lipstain Marker comes in a fat marker so you can literally draw the color on. There are a total of 9 colors available, most of which are red/brown-based and they all showed up very similar on my lips. The only pink (which I was set on getting since I <3 pink lips), Stylesetter, was a disappointment and showed up a lot darker with barely any pink so I end up getting Purposefully Red, which is a beautiful pinup red. Would love to see more pinks and lighter colors in the future.

MAC Pro Longwear Lipstain Marker Swatches

Pigmentation-wise, these are on the sheer side but very buildable. You can easily create a natural stain to an intense, defined look like the one you see on the promo picture. The formula also feels non-drying and uber lightweight. Plus the felt-tip applicator gives such great precision you can finally say bye bye to lip liner.

As for its wearability, let’s just say this stuff IS long-lasting! While these are not completely waterproof, the Lipstain Markers do stain pretty badly to the point where it will require an oil-based remover to get the color off completely. I learnt my lesson when it took over 2 days for the swatches on my hand to wash off.

The only con I have is that these can show up very differently depending on your natural lip color (I still can’t believe Stylesetter didn’t work out for me – sadness!!) I highly suggest you try these on before you purchase. Other than that, they are AWESOMEEEE!

  1. I wonder what are the ingredients. I tried it on my hand too and it was hard to clean off. This idea freaks me out since it’s going on my lips!

  2. I bought it in a classic yesterday, you’re soo right about it showing up different depending on your lip colour, altough it looks pink on the packaging and on the back of my hand, it looks super bright red on my lip!
