Yaby Natural Liquid Foundation Review and Swatches

25 November 2009

Here are the reviews and swatches of the Yaby Cosmetics Natural Liquid Foundations that Liz sent me!

Lavender, Wasabi, Honey and Custard

These are definitely the tiniest foundations I have ever seen! They come in a 8ml tube about the size of a lipgloss (no joke!) There are 18 shades available, including 12 flesh colors and 6 color correctors.

I got four – Lavender, Wasabi, Honey and Custard. Lavender is a light purple to counteract sallowness; Wasabi is a light green to even out redness; Honey and Custard are both flesh colors with yellow undertones.

The texture is super creamy and blends very nicely. Coverage is light yet buildable and the finish is very natural.

While these are marketed as foundations, I like to use them as concealers and color correctors. Why? ‘Cos at $12.50 for a tube that is only filled up to 70-80% (they intentionally left out some room so you can mix and match colors), these are definitely not cheap! Plus if you use them as foundations, a tube will probably only last you a few applications.

All in all, the Natural Liquid Foundations are great for evening out problem areas but definitely not a must-have.

Overall Rating:

Disclosure: The Yaby Natural Liquid Foundations were sent to me for review but they are available at www.yabycosmetics.com.

If it was 30 ml (like most foundations) it would cost about $50. approx. quite expensive… like guerlain or chanel.
