Venus Vibrance Razor Review

Pin It2 Comments
I finally picked up my first vibrating razor after my beloved Gillette SensorExcel razor broke. The Venus Vibrance Razor ($10), which came out in 2005, is the first vibrating razor for women in the market. Its soothing vibrations claim to sweep away dull, dry skin and result in fewer nicks.

Although this is manufactured by the same company, it does shave a lot better than the SensorExcel. The shape also allows a better grip which makes shaving a lot easier. So far I have not gotten any nicks or cuts from it but then again, I hardly get any from other razors either. The vibrating feature is definitely a novelty but personally, I find it nothing but a gimmick and an excuse to charge customers more. I get the same results whether the vibrating feature is turned on or off. The cartridges also cost more than the regular ones (yet another way to rip customers off) so despite the fact that this comes in my *favorite* color, I will not be repurchasing when I run out of cartridges.

Mineral Foundation Reviews

Bare Escentuals bareMinerals SPF 15 Foundation ($25)
While a friend back in college raved about this, my experience with it was hooooorrible! Instead of the “creamy, delicately soft texture” it claims to provide, it dried out my skin, accentuated dry patches and left my face feeling itchy and irritated. It also did not cover well and was very shimmery. On the bright side, the wide color range, SPF 15 and the fact that you can mix and match different shades to get your perfect match are definitely its pluses. I would highly recommend you try this out at the store before you buy it.

Here is my passport picture that I took while I was in Hong Kong. I figured I would post it on here to go with an older entry that I wrote about makeup tips for taking passport/year book pictures. As you can see, less is definitely more here.
