EVERY makeup artist and model owns a bottle of RMK Liquid Foundation back in my hometown, Hong Kong!
Created by renowned Japanese makeup artist Rumiko, the RMK Liquid Foundation ($45) comes in a heavy 30 ml glass bottle with a silver cap. It touts a light fluid texture that spreads easily over your skin to a seamless balance of coverage and translucency, along with a waterproof formula to protect against perspiration and water for long-lasting perfection. The foundation also comes with SPF 14, which is a great plus.
There are 8 shades available, most of which are yellow-based and perfect for Asian skintones. For my NC30 skintone, I use 102.
Just as claimed, the texture was really thin and runny. Yet, the coverage was medium and very buildable. The foundation blended so effortlessly into my skin I never look like I have makeup on.
If only this was more easily available (currently, it is only sold in Asia), I would definitely repurchase!

thank you for the post on more foundations! i love foundation topics ^_^. it was very informative and i’m definitely eyeing the laura one you mentioned, but they don’t have one in my area =T. you also mentioned the RMK and i’m eyeing that too because it’s yellow-based, butt i want to be able to try it on at the counters t0t, the joys of having sallow skin eh? i’m surprised that you haven’t used mac’s studio fix, it seems the most popular in that store for foundation-wise.
yah most of the foundations I have tried are either liquid or cream. My skin tends to be on the dry side so I try to stay away from powder foundations.
I love your site! Can you please tell me what color you are in the RMK foundation? I’m planning on purchasing the creamy foundation online. I’m NC20 in mac. thanks!
Hi Phyllis,
which Nr. did you choose for the RMK Foundation. I am between Mac NC 25 – 30, at the moment NC 25 Studiofixfluid suits me. Which colour is this for RMK Foundation?
Thanx,
Crystal
Great review! many thanks~
After reading your review, I thought I’d try RMK foundation, though I’ve never tried the brand before, but can’t find any place that carries it.
Do you have any suggestions on where to get RMK foundation in New York? or an online website I can order it?
Thanks.
