My Bobbi Brown Metallic Long-Wear Cream Shadow finally came! It comes in cute little square jar with a black lid and the color that I got was Chrome Patina 3, a medium silver decked with tiny white gold glitter.

Besides the *gorgeous* color, the texture is definitely the other thing I liked the most. It glides on very easily, feels super lightweight and dries immediately. It also wears really well – 12 hours and no creasing.

Pigmentation-wise, it is pretty sheer. If you wear it alone, it will only give a hint of color with a bit of glossy effect. The good news, however, is that you can easily layer the cream shadow for more color. The tiny glitter also creates the perfect sparkling effect and will give you that extra omph most everyday eyeshadow lacks.

Below is me wearing a sheer wash of the Chrome Patina on top of a black eyeliner. I will definitely be getting more colors!

I like that colour! It is a nice pure silver and I can definitely see it being used as a base for MAC’s Platinum pigment for a flashier, brighter and more silver look for a holiday party or clubbing.

this looks awesome! Did you use any eyeshadow primer like UDPP or by itself? All cream eyeshadows crease like crazy on me without primer so I am hesitating but I love this color :)

You take the most gorgeous photos! May I know what kind of camera do you use? :) TIA.

    Annie,

I did not use a primer underneath. I just wore the cream shadow with Milani’s Easyliner Retractable Pencil for Eyes in Black underneath. The cream shadow dries pretty matte and stays on really well for me but if you worry about it creasing, I am sure you can use a primer underneath.

Get it la Lorrie! It’s similar to the Jill Stuart Eye Jelly but even better!

Thanks Teeyah! I just use Sony’s Cybershot DSC-T70 but I always take my pictures in macro mode with flash.

Thank you for the information Phyllis! BTW have you tried beaute de kose’s cream eyeshadows? I wonder which is better.

  12. teeyah says:

Really? We use the same camera but I never get these kind of photos. Yours are so nice! :) Thanks for replying, sweets!

Would this work layered over some regular eyeshadow applied first (so there is already some pigment underneath)?

    and

    what shade(s) are a good brownish-bronze color?
