I first discovered Inoui The Enhancer (~$45) when I was still a teenager living in Hong Kong. Back in the days, this concealer was dubbed a must-have by all the models, celebrities and makeup pros in Asia.
One thing I can never live without is concealer. I rely on it every single day to cover up those nasty undereye circles and redness around my nose.
Now I understand finding the holy grail concealer can be a long and tedious journey, which is why I will be starting a list of concealer reviews to hopefully help you guys narrow down some of your choices.
It was totally love-at-first-sight when I saw the Dior Spring 2006 makeup collection print ad. Soft smoky eyes paired with pink lips and cheeks – that is the ultimate girly look! Read on to see my take on how to duplicate the look!
Have you ever wondered how models in magazines score that bright eye makeup or what celebrities use to make their eyeshadow stay on even after hours and hours of partying? The answer is simple. With MAC Water Base Mixing Medium, we can all get eye makeup that stays vibrate for hours.
The Water Base Mixing Medium is a transparent liquid made to dilute or mix with powder or liquid makeup. One tiny drop of this gem and your eyeshadow will stay on all day. The Mixing Medium can also be mixed with powder to create sheer to full, opaque coverage. Plus you can use to it to help make glitter adhere onto your skin.
To use the Mixing Medium, just squeeze one drop directly onto your eyeshadow brush. Dip the brush into your eyeshadow and do your eyes as usual.
One note on purchasing the Mixing Medium though. Make sure you get the water-based one if you are going to use it around your eyes. MAC also sells one that is alcohol-based, which can only be used for the body.
Finally saw Japanese manga-based movie Nana and needless to say, I really liked it. Although I was never into the punk look, I have to say Mika Nakashima looks *really* good in it. Everything about her just looks so awesome – her hair, her clothes and of course, her makeup! And since one of Nana’s major looks is smoky eyes (my favorite), I am going to write about it today.
I know I have written about MAC Mineralize Skinfinish before but I am so in love with them here is an entry just on it!
