As requested by juicycouture, I will be starting a list of eyeliner reviews.

MAC Powerpoint Eye Pencil ($13.50)
When MAC came out with these, I was stoked. Unlike MAC’s regular eye pencil, these are so much more easier to blend and they stay on a lot better too. They are also different from MAC’s Eye Kohl because they are waterproof. I have Forever Green which is a shimmery forest emerald green and it makes my brown eyes pop.

MAC Eye Kohl ($13.50)
I have this in Smolder, a basic black color. It is very soft and super easy to blend. There are also many pretty colors to choose from. The only downside to kohls is that they smudge like crazy. Having said that, they are great for the smoky eyes look. But if you have oily skin or the habit of rubbing your eyes, do not even think of getting this.

MAC Pearlglide Liners ($14.50)
These are definitely MAC’s best pencil liners! They are ultra creamy and glide on so easily! There are a total of 8 gorgeous colors available and they are all rich and metallic with a sparkly finish. You can smudge them out for a softer look or you can just let them set for a more solid effect. The staying power is also great. I ended up with Black Russian and Rave and they make my brown eyes pop! Click here for the swatches.

is the mac powerpoint pencil an actual black? Will it stay that black all day also?

  4. Phyllis says:

MAC does have a black shade for its powerpoint pencils – it’s called Engraved. I have never tried it myself but if you want something that is black and will stay black, I suggest you try a liquid liner or MAC’s fluidline in Blacktrack.

hey swati, sure you can use the mac fluidline for the gothic look! whether you wanna smudge it or not is totally up to you. in fact, if you don’t want it to smudge, i say definitely use the mac since that baby hardly budges. let me know if you have more questions!

  14. Kao Chang says:

    Hey Phyllis,

To let you know your site is very great. I was wondering which store can you purchase the MAC’s fluidline? If it is possible can you e-mail it to me, my e-mail is kaozchang@gmail.com. I had been looking for a long time for some dark black eye linear that will last for a long time and the MAC’ fluidline sounds like it is the one. Thank You Very Much. Hoping to hear from you soon.

  16. skinny says:

is that liquid liner seriously 300 dollars, or did you mean fourty dollars..

  17. Anonymous says:

Hey I was just looking for some eyeliners and came across your site. Now I know which one I should buy lol! But, I would have to disagree with you on the MAC Powerpoint Eye Pencil, I HATE it. It smudges too easily, and it isn’t waterproof z.z

  18. Anonymous says:

Hey. You’re absolutely gorgeous and your make up is great as well. One question though, can the MAC Liquidlast liner be used on the inner rim of the eye? I’ve been trying so hard to find a liner that will last all day and won’t smudge. Thanks!

Hi, i’m not a real makeup person but i’m trying to get into it. Would you suggest liquid eyeliner or pencil eyeliner?

    Thanks!

  22. Anonymous says:

thanks for your great blog! i was wondering what mac eyeliner would you recommend for the waterline/lower eyelid? thanks so much!

  23. Anonymous says:

Know any good eyeliners for the waterline? Possibly something from a drugstore? I have one from loreal paris it glides right on and its very black, but it doesnt stay on very long

  24. Jung Kim says:

After lining my eyes with a pencil eyeliner under my eyes, I always notice how it starts to smudge after a quiet short period of time. This happens very often to me. I have tried waterproof and nonwaterproof. They all get smudge ad fades away from my eyes. I am guessing this is due to oil production from my skin ?
Is there away to prevent smudging?
I have tried sealing product from Benefit ( transparent gel) but this thing really is harsh on my skin.

saw review on Bourjois Easy Application Liner, it is different from my experience. The eyeliner very smugy and I do not recomend to anyone!

  26. Amanda says:

thnx so much for all the reviews, now I know I reallly want the MAC fluidline TT__TT lol…I was wondering could u also review some more of the drugstore eyeliners since a lot of the other ones I wouldn't be able to purchase >__<

  27. britty bew♥> says:

,okay so im black , and ive went through my fair share of eyeliner :/ …. and i really need a very dark perfabally black eyeliner or something that will at least show up… & everytime i try to use my liquid eyeliner i guess my eyes just water it straight out, or like leaks in my eyee!!!

    lol helpp me

  28. lexuan says:

hi just wanna say love your blog
also ,what do you think its better foryour lower waterline ,liqid or pencil liner ? my probleem is my lower liner always smugde i use the fluidline from mac, and whit pencil it always end up whith a grey colour instead of black at the end of the day

  29. yael says:

i know you love the MAC fluidline, but how do you compare it against Bobbi Brown’s gel eyeliner?

and which brush do you use to apply? (i have the MAC 209 liner brush)
i think i definitely prefer a pointed brush to an angled one, i feel the angled brushes just drag the product and the hairs can leave streaks…

  30. yael says:

and what about MAC’s penultimate liner?
