Besides the new liquid-powder highlighters, M·A·C Cosmetics introduced extended shades of its iconic Strobe Cream over the winter.
Super-powered with nutritious vitamins and a mega-dose of green tea, the Strobe Cream is a moisturizer that boosts the look of dull skin and luminizes with iridescent particles.
There are 5 shades available – Silverlite, Goldlite, Redlite, Peachlite and the original, now named Pinklite. For my NC20 skintone, I decided to go with Goldlite (cool gold shimmer) and a to-go size of Pinklite (icy pink shimmer).
On my dehydrated combination skin, the creams added just the slightest bit of moisture (using a moisturizer underneath is recommended if you are on the drier side) but a WHOLE lot of radiance. My skin gleamed and gleamed in an ethereal-but-not-greasy way and unlike MAC Prep + Prime Natural Radiance Illuminating Base, the glow was still visible even after I applied a cushion foundation on top. To really enhance the effect, you can also dab the strobe cream sparingly over makeup as a finishing touch.
MAC Goldlite Strobe Cream is available at M·A·C stores nationwide and nordstrom.com for $33. MAC Sized To-Go Mini Strobe Cream is also available at $12.
