After using Bioderma Sensibio H20 Micellar Solution for years, I decided to try Bioderma Hydrabio H2O, a hydrating formula designed for dry, dehydrated and sensitive skin.
Bioderma Sensibio H2O and Hydrabio H2O Micellar Solution
• Ingredients. These seemed to differ quite a bit, with the Hydrabio containing a lot more ingredients.
Sensibio: Water (Aqua), PEG-6 Caprylic/Capric Glycerides, Cucumis Sativus (Cucumber) Fruit Extract, Mannitol, Xylitol, Rhamnose, Fructooligosaccharides, Propylene Glycol, Disodium EDTA, Cetrimonium Bromide
Hydrabio: Aqua/Water/Eau, Glycerin, PEG-6 Caprylic/Capric Glycerides, Polysorbate 20, Mannitol, Xylitol, Rhamnose, Fructooligosaccharides, Niacinamide, Cucumis Sativus (Cucumber) Fruit Extract, Pyrus Malus (Apple) Fruit Extract, Peg-40 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Propylene Glycol, Hexyldecanol, Disodium EDTA, Sodium Hydroxide, Citric Acid, Cetrimonium Bromide, Fragrance (Parfum)
Also worth noting is that the Hydrabio is non-comedogenic while the Sensibio is not. The Hydrabio, though designed for sensitive skin, is scented as well (beats me!) whereas the Sensibio is fragrance-free.
• Finish. While both felt super lightweight and non-greasy on my sensitive dehydrated combo skin, I find the Hydrabio to be slightly more moisturizing, thanks to its Glyerin and Niacinamide, which are known for their hydrating and anti-inflammatory properties.
• Effectiveness. Both worked equally great in removing mascara, eyeshadow, blush and light base and lip makeup without irritating or drying out my skin.
• Price. Both come in 100 ml, 250 ml and 500 ml sizes for $6.90, $11.90 and $16.90 respectively.
Overall verdict? LOVED both the Sensibio H2O and Hydrabio H2O but my vote goes to Hydrabio H2O, simply because of it is more moisturizing and non-comedogenic.
