2013 Winter Skincare Favorites

February 3, 2014

One of my beauty resolutions for 2014 is to take better care of my skin. After all, great makeup starts with a great canvas right? So here are 5 products I discovered this winter that I can’t get enough.

2013 Winter Skincare Favorites

#1 Bioderma Sensibio H20 Micellar Solution
Raved by models and makeup artists worldwide, this cleansing water does an excellent job cleansing skin and removing water-resistant makeup with zero irritation or stinging – even on my sensitive dehydrated combo skin.

#2 Mario Badescu Drying Lotion
Step aside Philosophy Clear Days Ahead Overnight Repair Salicylic Acid Acne Treatment Pads, this is now my number 1 favorite for treating whiteheads and pimples. The salicylic acid and calamine enriched formula is non-irritating, non-drying and managed to shrink and dry out any whiteheads/zits/clogged pores literally overnight. And the best part? It is only $17!

#3 Raccine Ultimate Youth Power Eye Serum
This Korean serum is packed with SH-Decapeptide-9TM (a neuropeptide), Adenosine, ginseng stem cells, Niacinamide and lichen extracts to reduce fine lines and wrinkles, stimulate collagen production to increase elasticity and clear away dark circles. Not only did it feel super lightweight, it immediately tightened and plumped up my skin, while creating the perfect base for my concealer.

#4 Clarisonic Opal Sonic Infuser
Although this isn’t a skincare product per se, it has done wonders to my skin. Utilizing a sonic technology, the palm-sized device vibrates at over 200 movements per second so that serums can penetrate deeper into the outer layers of the epidermis, thus enhancing their effectiveness. I have been using this twice a day with the Raccine eye serum and my undereye area has looked firmer and smoother even my facialist complimented on the difference.

#5 La Prairie Cellular Swiss Ice Crystal Dry Oil
Formulated with a blend of oils along with rare plant and algae extracts from the Swiss Alps, this latest invention from La Prairie claims to protect skin from internal and external assaults, prevent moisture loss and keep it supple and glowing. My skin was left brighter, softer in just a few days and I loved that you can use it on its own or mix into your moisturizer for added hydration.

What are some of yours?
