From the latest NARS Spring 2017 Collection comes a free-spirited collection of burnt reds, big-sky blues and wildflower shades. Here, I test drove two of the products that caught my eye – Bumpy Ride Blush and Thessalonique Duo Eyeshadow.
Thessalonique Duo Eyeshadow ($35), an addition to the permanent line, is a gorgeous, wearable pairing. The left shade, described as an “iridescent seashell pink”, is a shimmery white that flashes pink. NARS Andromeda Dual-Intensity Eyeshadow is similar, with more yellow. The right shade, an “iridescent violet smoke”, is a shimmery smoky violet with brown undertones. NARS Ashes to Ashes Eyeshadow is very close, with just a tinge more brown. Both colors applied easily with great pigmentation even san primer, though I find the right shade to be slightly drier in terms of texture.
Another new addition to the permanent line, we have Bumpy Ride Blush ($30). A “shimmering candy pink”, this is a beautiful frosty bright coral pink. NARS Orgasm Blush is similar with more gold shimmer. The color glided on effortlessly with good color payoff and added a nice glow to my NC20 skintone. The wear was also fantastic – no fading until 8+ hours.
Below is a quick FOTD of me wearing Thessalonique (left shade in the inner corners of the eye and right shade on the lid and lower eye) and Bumpy Ride. Also featured are Hanyul Luminant Cushion Cover Foundation in 23 Soft Beige, Shu Uemura Hard Formula in Seal Brown 02, Kat Von D Tattoo Liner in Trooper, Etude House Lash Perm 3 Step Volumecara Mascara and It Cosmetics Je Ne Sais Quoi Hydrating Color Awakening Lip Treatment.
