Runway Beauty: Graphic Beauty at Manish Arora S/S ’14

Graphic elements have been a popular trend on the runways in the past seasons and at Manish Arora Spring/Summer 2014, makeup artist Kabuki teamed up with manicurist Marian Newman created a “1920’s Josephine Baker meets 1990’s raver” look to go with the bright clothing in the collection.

Makeup and Nails: M·A·C Cosmetics

Face
Mineralize Charged Water Face & Body lotion – massaged into skin to instantly hydrate, rejuvenate, and prepare for foundation.
Matchmaster SPF 15 Foundation – applied to even and tone, leaving skin looking naturally matte in finish.
Studio Finish SPF 35 Concealer – applied as needed to perfect.
Lightscapade Mineralize Skinfinish – blended down the center of the nose to highlight.
Platinum Love Extra Dimension Eyeshadow (available Spring/Summer 2014) – swept over the bridge of nose to add dimension.
Prep + Prime Transparent Finishing Powder/Pressed – swept over cheeks before any blush is applied for a soft application of color.
Peaches Powder Blush – applied low on the cheeks for a flush.
Matte Texture – blended over the forehead and sides of nose to eliminate shine.

Eye
Bare Canvas Paint – painted over the entire eyelid as perfecting base on eyes.
M·A·C PRO Pure White Chromagraphic Pencil – drawn thickly through the inner corners of eyes.
M·A·C PRO Landscape Green and Pure White Chroma Cake – mixed together and applied with the 210 Precise Eye Liner Brush as a block of color blended out towards the nose.
M·A·C PRO Process Magenta and Pure White Chroma Cake – mixed together and applied with the 210 Precise Eye Liner Brush as a block of color on top of the green and then blended towards the nose.
Clear Brow set – brushed up through brows to define and groom.

Lips
Have A Lovely Day! Casual Colour (available Spring/Summer 2014) – patted into lips for soft nude.

Nails
Morange and Steamy Nail Lacquers – chosen and painted for a manicure or pedicure base on nails, with the alternate on fingers and toes, i.e. Steamy fingers with Morange toes or vice versa. A green reflective material in a “mini” nail shape is drawn through the middle to contrast against orange, and a pink reflective material on pink.
