Estee Lauder Pure Color Gloss Review and Swatches

June 29, 2010

Just got the newest Estee Lauder Pure Color Gloss in the mail! Read on for more pics and swatches!

The Pure Color Gloss comes in 34 gorgeous shades of nudes, berries, reds and plums, 6 of which are designed by Tom Pecheux and available exclusively at Nordstrom. There are 3 different kind of finishes. Shine contains color-true pigment polymers to deliver an ultra shiny, glossy finish, Shimmer has finely cut pearls to provide a mirrored shine with fierce shimmer and Sparkle gives you super high-shine fused with high-powered metallic sparkle for the most dramatic look.

I was sent two colors – Star Pink (Shimmer), a cool-toned lilac with tiny gold and Tempting Tearose (Shine), a creamy warm nude color.

Estee Lauder Pure Color Gloss in Star Pink and Tempting Tearose

Star Pink goes on really sheer and shows up pretty much clear with lots of shine and tiny sparkles.

Tempting Tearose, on the other hand, adds a bit more color onto my lips, giving it a your-lips-but-better look.

Both glosses feel very lightweight with no tackiness. They are formulated with Vitamin C, Vitamin E and humectants (substances that promote the retention of moisture) and make my lips really soft. The faint fig scent is also a nice change from your regular over-the-top sweet glosses. Plus they wear pretty well and can last a good hour or two. I will have to check out the rest of the colors next time I hit up Nordstrom!

Estee Lauder Pure Color Gloss is available at Estee Lauder counters nationwide and www.esteelauder.com for $18.

I love Tempting Tearose on you! It doesn’t look overdone but gives the perfect amount of colour. I’ll have to check these out next time I’m at Estee Lauder!

I’m getting doubles of Star Pink. Are they sticky at all?
