Ojon Rub-Out Dry Cleanser Review

April 11, 2010

Let’s face it. With the hectic schedule everyone has got nowadays, having to wash, condition, blowdry and style your hair every day – especially when you have long Asian hair like I do – just seems pretty impossible. So how can you keep your hair clean and healthy without spending hours in the bathroom? I reached out to the folks at Ojon for help and a sample of their Rub-out Dry Cleanser landed on my doorstep.

Formulated with Amazonian White Clay, Silk Powder, Rice, Potato starches and Soap Bark Extract, the Rub-out Dry Cleanser lets you kill two birds with one stone by removing impurities, toxins, excess oils and product build-up while adding volume to your hair at the same time.

All you have to do is spray the product directly onto your hair and massage it into the scalp and from the roots to the ends. The process takes less than 5 minutes and every time I use it, my hair becomes instantly refreshed and lifted. Plus unlike regular dry shampoos, this never leaves behind any gummy buildup or white residue, even on my dark hair. Perfect to use between washes, to tone down over-styled hair or any time you need a quick lift.

The cleanser also has a pretty strong smell which I liked. But if you are not a fan of strong fragrances, make sure you use this in a well-ventilated area.

The Ojon Rub-Out Dry Cleanser is now available at Sephora for $24.

I’m thinking of trying this, but I heard that the spray-on shampoos run out very quickly.

I’ve bought the Rub-Out Dry Cleanser before, and it definitely runs out sooner than you’d like, especially for the price! I wasn’t a big fan of the scent either.

A good cheap option is sold at Sally Beauty Supply (and I’ve heard ULTA though I don’t have one near me)called Batiste. I love dry shampoo, but it does run out quickly. At $7.49 Batiste makes it a little less painful when it runs out. That being said, I’m a blonde, so I don’t know how this would fair on darker hair. Good luck!

I want to try this! I just bought a super cheap $4 Tresemme dry shampoo, but it doesn’t work that well, so I’m on the lookout for something that really works.
