NARS has finally added an eyelash curler to its line of makeup!
Like all NARS products, the eyelash curler comes in a sleek signature black matte finish. The curve is slightly flatter than my Shiseido and Shu Uemura curlers but it fits perfectly on my eye and gives my straight Asian lashes an instant boost. It is super easy to use, never pinches my skin and it weighs a lot less than the Shiseido and Shu Uemura curlers too! I have been using this every day and I love it!
The NARS Eyelash Curler is available at NARS Cosmetics for $20.
A quick review and look at the latest MAC Cult of Cherry Collection!
Similar to the Rushmetal collection that was launched in 2007, the Overrich collection consists of eight highly metallic pigments. All colors are new except Mauvement, which is a repromote from Rushmetal and they will become permanent shades at the Pro stores except Mega-Rich – thank God!
During my most recent trip to Boots, I can’t help but have my eye on the new Bourjois Imperfection Concealer ($15). With a cute leopard print packaging and a built-in mirror on the cap for easy touch-ups, how can you not?! But other than the cute packaging, this concealer is a very average product.
Yes the “melt-on-the-skin formula” gives it a creamy, blendable texture but the coverage is far from enough to eradicate my undereye circles. The color selection also sucked. There are only two shades available – a pink-based beige and a golden-based beige both in light shades – so if you do not fall under those two shades, you will not be able to find a match.
Save your money for something else! There are definitely better products out there at this price.
Rembrandt’s 2-Hour Whitening Kit is one of the fastest at-home whitening treatment on the market. It contains an “unique fast acting Bio-available peroxide formulation” to give you visibly whiter teeth in just two hours.
The kit contains 2 trays for your top and bottom teeth and 8 ampules of whitening gel. The instructions were pretty clear and easy to follow. First, you dip the trays into hot water then let them cool in your mouth so they mold into your teeth. Then you apply the gel onto the front side of the trays, leave them on for 20 minutes, take them out, rinse, rest for 10 minutes and repeat up to 3 times if necessary.
The trays fit very nicely onto my teeth and I did not experience any discomfort wearing them at all. The gel did not taste weird nor made me gag and my gums and teeth did not feel sensitive or irritated either. The whole process was simply pleasant and pretty much painless. I started noticing a difference after the second time I applied the gel and by the time I had finished all 4 ampules, my teeth got at least two shades whiter.
The best part is Rembrandt’s performance guarantee. If you are not satisfied with the results, they will refund you your money within 2 months of purchase (just make sure you keep your receipt). The product also comes with a free $2 coupon for your next purchase.
Overall, I really liked this product and I think it is well worth the money. I am going to try out Rembrandt’s Whitening Touch Up Pen next. Will update with a review in a few weeks.
The 2-Hour Whitening Kit is available at most drugstores for $24.99.

Just when I thought I have found my latest holy grail mascara, I discovered Maybelline’s newest invention, the Volum’ Express Colossal Mascara.
Similar to Cover Girl’s Lash Blast mascara, the Maybelline Volum’ Express Colossal Mascara comes in an uber bright tube with a gigantic brush. It is available in two shades of Black – Classic Black and Glam Black – and contains collagen to plump up lashes for up to 9 times the volume.
