La Mer The Eye Concentrate Review

June 18, 2010

Lately, I have fallen in love with La Mer The Eye Concentrate, an eye cream that contains a combo of precious sea ingredients and magnetic energies of minerals to reduce the appearance of dark circles, wrinkles, puffiness and keep the eye area in a calm, more balanced state.

The Eye Concentrate comes in a small 0.5 oz jar with a silver tip applicator. All you need is a tiny dab under the eyes so a jar will last you quite a while.

The texture was rich, creamy and just divine! It moisturized my eye area very well and sank in right away without feeling greasy. Whenever I put this on, my eye area felt hydrated and soothed while being completely milia and puff-free. I could also apply makeup right after and my foundation and concealer always managed to go on so smoothly without caking or sliding off after this.

The best part was how effective it was in keeping the eye area toned and fighting undereye circles. I saw an improvement in just a few weeks and it completely saved my eyes after some hardcore partying at Vegas.

I will definitely repurchase when my sample runs out. Thanks La Mer for making such a great product!

The La Mer Eye Concentrate is available at Sephora, Nordstrom and cremedelamer.com for $165.

I would love to try La Mer products sometime, too bad they are always out of my budget range. This eye cream sounds wonderful though.

THanks for this review! It’s always great to read good reviews on an expensive product, that way I know if it’s worth it or not.

I’ve heard endless good things about La Mer products, but I don’t think I will be able to afford anything from that line anytime soon. It’s interesting that this helps with dark circles too though, certainly sounds like a miracle worker.

I’d like to try it too… but like many of your other readers have already stated, it’s out of my budget. >_<

how does this compare to other eye creams? i have the WORST undereye circles. i think its due to me wearing contact lenses at such a young age. i have to pull at my eyes to put them in and take them out each day. =(

can you suggest a cheaper alternative for (south) asian (olive) NC30 skin? most suggest seem to make the purple of the dark circles more apparent and moisturize, instead of getting ride of them 🙁 what can you recommend?

Ladies, no eye cream can get rid of circles completely but the La Mer definitely helped mine fade a bit and prevented them from getting worse.

Besides using a good eye cream, you will also need to look into the causes of your undereye circles, which can include poor blood circulation, hyperpigmentation, lack of sleep, allergies, thin skin around the eye area and even genes.
