Thanks to a trick I picked up from guru Victor C at the MAC Pro Sculpting The Face Master Class and Tweezerman’s BrowMousse, I no longer have to worry about my eyebrows disappearing in the 90+°F Chicago summers!

The BrowMousse is a clear gel designed to help tame those unruly eyebrows and keep your brow makeup in place. Unlike some lower end brow gels, this is super lightweight, non-sticky and never stiffens or looks gummy when it is dry. It also comes with a slightly smaller spoolie applicator that is gentle on the skin and deposits the gel evenly with great precision. All I have to do is brush this through my brows, wait a few seconds for it to dry then fill in my brows with powder and it gives excellent hold so the powder stays on all day. Oh and did I mention that it only retails $10 and is available at all drugstores nationwide? Loves!

If you are looking to kill two birds with one stone, Dove’s latest Ultimate Visibly Smooth Anti-perspirant Decodorant is the way to go.

The new deo contains an unique Pro-Epil Complex to help make underarm hair feel softer, finer and easier to remove over time while keeping your underarm area dry and odor-free for up to 24 hours!

It goes on with no heavy waxy feeling, dries off instantly and never leaves behind white marks. I do not sweat much normally but when I put this on, my underarm area definitely stays dry all day. Plus it smells so great I can’t help but sniff my armpit when I have it on – I finally get why people do that in commercials!

Dove Ultimate Visibly Smooth Anti-perspirant/ Deodorant is now available at all food, drug and mass retailers. For a $2 coupon for you and a friend, leave a comment with your name and e-mail address and I will send you one right to your door!

** Ladies, I am officially out of coupons. Thanks so much for the response!

L’oreal’s latest HIP High Intensity Pigments Colour Presso is the perfect example of a decent product failing because of disastrous packaging.

The gloss duo combines two yummy colors in squeezable tube so they can be worn alone or mixed together for customizable combinations. While the idea is really clever, the delivery itself is far from user-friendly. It took me 5 minutes to figure out how to open the cap and I even had difficulty getting the glosses out from the tubes, let alone controlling the amount of product I want to use!

Alterna is one of Hollywood’s most popular haircare lines with a long list of celebrity fans like Jennifer Aniston, Madonna, Scarlett Johansson etc. and luxury is the only word I can use to describe its Ten Hair Masque.

Priced at $55 for a 5.1 oz jar, Alterna Ten Hair Masque is infused with ten exotic ingredients from around the globe, including African Cacao Extract, Hyaluronic Acid, Caviar Age-Control Complex™, Photozyme Complex™ with Color Hold™, White Truffle Oil, Champagne Grape Seed Oil, Bulgarian Evening Primrose, Arabian Frankincense, Moroccan Quillaia Bark and Arnica Flower. It promises to repair and renew all hair types and transform it from ordinary to extraordinary.

If you liked Cover Girl’s Lash Blast mascara, chances are you will love Max Factor’s 2000 Calorie Extreme Lash Plumper.

Just like the Lash Blast, the Extreme Lash Plumper Mascara has a big plastic brush, bulky packaging and a patented fat-wrap formula that promises to wrap and plump every single lash, from root to tip.

So did it deliver the thickness it claimed? You bet! My lashes looked instantly fuller, darker and I love how you can really pile this baby on without clumping or ending up with stiff, brittle lashes. It also wears really well and does not smear/smudge until I take it off with warm water and remover.

My only complaint is the big fat brush. While it does help thicken, I find it hard to maneuver on my tiny Asian lashes (a long, slender brush like the one in L’oreal’s Clean Definition Telescopic Mascara tends to work best on me). Plus when it comes to the lengthening department, this does not seem to do much at all (see how short my lashes are in the picture below!) I would not recommend it unless you have longer lashes to begin with.
