Marie Antoinette served as the inspiration for the pink makeup and pastel wigs at the Chanel Cruise 2013 Show in Paris this week. To create the “between girly and rebel” look, Chanel Creative Director of Makeup Peter Philips covered models’ eyes, cheeks and lips with a tangy pink and paired it with a dash of beige liner on the inner rims of the eyes, defined brows and clean skin. But the most interesting part of the look belonged to the little black velvet Chanel logo “beauty marks” that were placed on top of models’ cheekbones. Definitely keep an eye out for them in the upcoming Collection Versailles de Chanel!
Wearing blue from head to toe can be tricky to pull off but Karl Lagerfeld but Chanel Creative Director of Makeup Peter Philips proved it otherwise at the Chanel Haute Couture Spring/Summer 2012 show by giving models a strong, slightly rock ‘n roll eye.
Classic Indian decadence might be the theme at the Chanel Pre-fall 2012 show, but the gorgeous black-rimmed almond eyes paired with embellished dreaded updo sure is a great look for the holidays.
Over the summer, Emma Watson showed us the beauty of a dramatic smoky cat eye with gold foil. Then makeup artist Peter Philips took the look to a new level by applying silver and gold foil from the lashline all the way up to the brows at the Fendi Spring 2012 show at Milan Fashion Week.
Yet another celebrity has shown us the power of a bright lip. Case in point? Emma Stone at the MET Ball 2011. Find out what celebrity makeup artist Rachel Goodwin used to create the look on Emma after the jump!
