Runway Makeup: BCBG Max Azria Fall 2012

February 9, 2012

Similar to the look spotted last season, BCBG Max Azria A/W 2012 is all about “healthy, fresh and effortless – something you might see on the modern girl walking down the street”. See how Maybelline New York Global Makeup Artist Charlotte Willer created the look after the jump!

Face
Using her fingers, Charlotte massaged Fit Me! Foundation into the face before dusting Fit Me! Powder over the skin. For a natural, understated flush, Charlotte blended Dream Bouncy Blush in Coffee Blush into the apples of the cheeks.

Eyes
The eyes were the focal point of the look and to achieve a graphic-inspired line, Charlotte extended two straight brush strokes across the eyelid using Eye Studio Lasting Drama Gel Eyeliner in Blackest Black. The first line was drawn from the inner corner to the center of the eye and the second starting at the center to just beyond the outer corner of each eye.

The brows were kept well-groomed with Eye Studio Master Shape Brow Pencil applied in subtle swift strokes.

Lips
In keeping with the overall “naturally pretty” vibe of the look, Charlotte opted for a clean, moisturized lip with Baby Lips SPF 20 Moisturizing Lip Balm in Quenched.

I think the model actually looks kind of scary. Too monotone, and the eyeliner looks like it’s floating above the lash line.

I see! Thanks Phyllis. It’s too bad they couldn’t work with her eye shape. I guess they could have put the line above her crease. I have to say it looks fabulous on the other model, though. Thanks for all these Asian beauty posts. I really enjoy them for inspiration!

    It’s very restrained and simple!
