My latest favorite liquid foundation to fake glowy, flawless skin? Hourglass Veil Fluid Makeup. Formulated with Retin-A, Matrixyl, Skin Tightener ST and vitamins A and E to stimulate the production of collagen, reduce the appearance of wrinkles and improve skin texture, this foundation promises to provide super, long-lasting coverage for a luminous complexion. It comes in a 30ml bottle with a pump and is oil-free, paraben-free, fragrance-free and contains SPF 15.
There are a total of 8 shades available, which all tend to run dark. I was sent a sample of No. 2 Light Beige, a medium neutral beige that is a shade darker than my NC30 skin.
Much to my surprise, the foundation had a semi-thick texture that resembled a cream foundation rather than a liquid foundation. Yet, it went on very lightweight and the silicones gave it a great slip so it spreaded and blended easily.
The coverage was on the medium to heavy side so using a light hand is key in applying this foundation. I like to mix this with a primer or moisturizer to sheer it out and it always covered up my undereye circles and filled in my pores nicely without creeping into fine lines or wrinkles.
The dewy, skin-like finish was another thing that I liked. I never felt or looked like I was wearing makeup when I used this. The foundation also wore well on my dehydrated combination skin and did not change color, crease or turn my face into an oil-slick.
The only con I could think of was the price. The foundation is pretty expensive at a whopping $60 but considering how my sample (which contained no more than a few pumps) gave me at least 6-7 applications, a bottle should last a longggggg time.
Bottom line, I can see myself wearing this. Those with dry or mature skin will also really like it.

not for nothing, you really do get what you pay for. I have not tried hourglass yet. However, I have tried the gambet of cosmetics from cheap to expensive. The cheapies only benefit is really the price. The quality of ingredients that come in the cheapies will really ruin your skin and look chalky and awfull. I am all about ingredients. Look at the first ingredient on most of the cheapies and you will 99% of the time find it to be mineral oil, an occlusive product that sits on the skin and clogs pores.
dont go for brand name or price, go for quality ingredients….
