For a lasting pop of color on the lips, I am really digging the new MAC PRO Longwear Lipstain Marker from the Art Supplies Collection!
The PRO Longwear Lipstain Marker comes in a chubby marker packaging so you can literally draw the color on like a pen.
There are a total of 9 colors available, most of which are red or brown-based and they all showed up very similar on my lips.
• Full of Flare – Bright yellow-coral
• Stylesetter – Hot pink
• A Classic – Rose red
• Purposefully Red – Dirty red-coral
• Modern Mocha – Light brown
• Point of View – Light neutral
• Tomorrow’s Coral – Mid-tone blue-red
• Runway Ripened – Berry plum-red
• Sunset – Coral brown
Since I ❤ pink lips, I was set on getting the only pink in the collection, Stylesetter. However, it turned out to be a disappointment and showed up a lot darker with barely any pink to it. I ended up getting Purposefully Red, a beautiful pinup red. Would love to see more pinks and lighter colors in the future.
Pigmentation-wise, the Lipstain Marker was on the sheer side but very buildable. You can easily create a natural stain to an intense, defined look like the one you see on the promo picture.
The formula also felt non-drying and uber lightweight. Plus the felt-tip applicator gave such great precision I could finally say bye bye to lip liner.
As for the wearability, let’s just say this stuff IS long-lasting! While the markers were not completely waterproof, they did stain pretty badly to the point where it would require an oil-based remover to get the color off completely. I learnt my lesson when it took over 2 days for the swatches on my hand to wash off completely
The only con I could think of was that the colors could show up very differently depending on your natural lip color (I still can’t believe Stylesetter didn’t work out for me – sadness!!) I highly suggest you try these on before you purchase.
Other than that, the MAC PRO Longwear Lipstain Marker are AWESOMEEEE!

I saw this at the Mac pro store the other week! looks well fun to use!
OMG!! I love lip stains!! So looking forward to this collection =)
I wonder what are the ingredients. I tried it on my hand too and it was hard to clean off. This idea freaks me out since it’s going on my lips!
I bought it in a classic yesterday, you’re soo right about it showing up different depending on your lip colour, altough it looks pink on the packaging and on the back of my hand, it looks super bright red on my lip!
Ooo! I can’t wait for this! I hope we get it soon…
This collection looks great! I quite like the fun use of the lip marker. They probably won’t come out for ages in the UK.
