Packaged in a a clickable pen design for portability and ease, Aritaum Real Ampoule Brightener touts an all-in-one brightening formula that works as a highlighter, concealer and base.
There are 2 shades available. 01 Pink Beige is a cool-based pink while 02 Skin Beige is more neutral and close to my NC20 skintone.
Despite the claim that it contains 40% moisture to brighten without visible dead skin cells and dryness, the formula was semi-lacking in the hydration department. Even with an eye cream and primer underneath, the Real Ampoule Brightener felt dry and slightly cakey on my dehydrated combination skin. I definitely prefer M·A·C Prep + Prime Highlighter – which was much more moisturizing – over this.
Coverage-wise, it also failed to deliver. The so-called “highest cover formula” which contains “pixel cover powder” and light-reflecting “skin clear powder” was not enough to cover up undereye circles or redness around my nose.
Overall, I was pretty disappointed with the Real Ampoule Brighteners. While they may work for someone with oilier skin that do not require much coverage I will not be repurchasing.
Aritaum Real Ampoule Brightener is available at www.aritaum.com for $7.46.
