SKIN INC Pure Revival Peel ($55). Containing AC-11, Arbutin and Fullerene, this is a non-abrasive peel that gently sloughs away dead skin cells to reveal bright, renewed skin. Within seconds I applied it onto my skin, I could see little pieces of dead skin balling up. As I continued to massage in a circular motion, more dead skin particles appeared. Once I rinsed everything off, my skin felt so smooth but not irritated at all.

Smashbox Always On Matte Liquid Lipstick in Driver’s Seat ($24). An eight-hour wear, liquid-matte lipstick with a featherweight, comfortable formula that stays put and keeps color looking as fresh and flawless as the first swipe. Just like NARS Velvet Lip Glide, this was ultra pigmented with a creamy texture that glided on easily. It left behind a soft matte finish that did not feel drying and managed to stay put for hours. The color, a warm rose with brown undetones, also added the perfect amount of warmth to my NC20 skintone.

too cool for school Egg Mellow Cream ($36). Enriched with Egg Yolk Extract, Albumen (egg white) Extract, Collagen Fiber and Niacinamide, this five-in-one moisturizer claims to work as a serum, priming moisturizer, eye cream, neck cream and sleeping mask. While I liked that it felt very weightless, it was not moisturizing enough for my dehydrated combination skin.

NUDESTIX Intense Matte Lip + Cheek Pencil in Belle ($24). A soft, non-drying matte lipstick, lip liner and cheek blush in an all-in-one pencil. The color was almost identical to the Smashbox Driver’s Seat Always On Matte Liquid Lipstick, just a tinge lighter. It applied smoothly with great pigmentation and the matte finish was a tad too drying on my lips, but just right on my cheeks.

Verb Leave-In Mist ($14). With its Moringa Seed Oil, Bamboo and Green Tea Extracts, Hydrolyzed Vegetable Keratin Protein and Hydrolyzed Quinoa Protein, this promises to moisturize, detangle, nourish, smooth, tame frizz, repair ends, add shine, prevent breakage, enhance elasticity, protect from heat and prep for styling. The product looked like a gel in the bottle but sprayed out as a mist that felt lightweight and non-sticky. My hair felt smoother, shinier and less dry instantly.

Tom Ford Orchid Soleil ($120). This contains notes of Tuberose Petals, Black Orchid, Headspace, Spider Lily Accord, Vanilla, Chestnut, Cream Accord and Patchouli. It was pretty strong and too mature for my taste.
