December 7, 2014

The 2014 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show brought us a bombshell look with its very own identity. Unlike previous years, the models rocked relatively understated eye makeup paired with a healthy flush and needless to say, the signature VS bed-head waves.

Instead of the classic all-over bronzed look the Angels are known for, lead makeup artist Dick Page created a more natural flush on the models. He blended a red theatrical paint by Kryolan onto models’ cheekbones and buffed cream bronzer on top before adding foundation where needed. On the eyes, he used Shiseido Shimmery Cream Eye Color in Sable, Caviar and Shoyu with a few coats of mascara (yes no falsies!) and a touch of shimmer on the inner corners. The lips were topped with Victoria’s Secret Beauty Rush Color Shine Glosses.

To create those to-die-for luscious waves, lead hairstylist Akki added extensions and dollops of Victoria’s Secret Mega-Lift Mousse before wrapping small sections of hair around GHD Curve Classic Curl Iron. The curls were then set with large velcro rollers. Once they have cooled, Akki loosened them with his fingers and finished with Victoria’s Secret High Shine Serum on the ends.
