If you love playing up your eyes with shimmer and glitter, you must check out Revlon‘s newest Luxurious Color Diamond Lust Eyeshadows from the Expressionists by Gucci Westman for Revlon Fall 2011 Collection!
Packaged in individual black compacts, these shadows come with a sponge-tipped applicator and are available in five stunning, glitter-tastic colors.
• Plum Galaxy is a plum with silver and purple glitter.
• Starry Pink is a icy pink with silver and pink glitter.
• Celestial Silver is a white gold with silver and green glitter.
• Neptune Star is a dark teal with holographic glitter.
• Night Sky is a charcoal with holographic glitter.
Compared to your regular powder eyeshadows, the Diamond Lust Eyeshadows feel slightly drier, just like the myface.cosmetics Blingtone Single Eyeshadows I have.
When worn alone, they only give a wash of color with tons of glitter. But if you use a primer like my favorite NARS Pro Prime Smudge Proof Eyeshadow Base or a cream shadow underneath, you will get intense color with an uber glittery effect that is beautiful and perfect for going out.
As with most glitter eyeshadows, I do get a bit of fall out during application. Yet the glitter comes off easily with a brush and some loose powder and no tape is needed. I am also very impressed with how well the glitter and color stayed on without moving around or fading through out the day.
The only thing that needs improvement is the consistency in texture. While most of the shadows applied smoothly, the lighter colors (Celestial Silver and Starry Pink) seemed grittier and slightly harder to work with.
Nonetheless, I LOVE the Revlon Gucci Westman Luxurious Color Diamond Lust Eyeshadows and really hope to see more colors in the future.
