NARS Danmari All About Cheek Palette Review and Swatches

October 31, 2011

NARS Blushes have been a staple for me for almost 15 years and their latest Sephora exclusive Danmari All About Cheek Palette holds 4 of my favorite colors plus a bronzer and a highlighter in a sleek black compact that is perfect for traveling. Now who can resist that? Definitely not a NARS addict like me!

NARS Danmari All About Cheek Palette

Inspired by Japanese Kabuki theatre, the Danmari All About Cheek Palette comes packaged in a black and red box. The palette itself measures 6 1/4 inches by 3 1/4 inches and comes with a mirror on the inside.

Each blush contains 0.12oz/3.5g of product, which is 3/4 of the 0.16 oz/4.8 g you get with full-sized NARS Powder Blushes. Definitely more than plenty and will last you a LONG time.

The colors are:

Hungry Heart I – a shimmery ivory with gold glitter.
Orgasm – the famous shimmery golden peachy pink that will work on any skintone.
Desire – a matte bright pink.
Casino – a matte dark brown with gold shimmer.
Super Orgasm – an amped-up version of Orgasm with slightly bigger gold glitter.
Sin – a shimmery plum with gold shimmer.

Like your regular NARS blushes and bronzers, these are highly pigmented and apply smoothly with such silky texture. Plus a full-sized NARS blush/bronzer retails at least $27, so the $65 price tag really is a good deal to get you started on NARS blushes or to get all your favorite colors in one portable palette.

Gorgeous! This is like a dream-come-true blush palette with great NARS blushes…the price tag is indeed great seeing that you get six blushes in one…a little over $10 for one…drool…

Love the detail in this review, but I don’t think the blushes are full sized. I want to say the originals are something like .16 ounces and these are .12 ounces. <3

Yes these are only 3/4 of the regular NARS blushes as stated in the entry.

Yeah it has been out of stock on and off for weeks now. Have you tried your local Sephora store? I’ve seen a few in mine the last time I checked.

I wish they had this out before i purchased most of the colors in this particular palette, its a great palette to have for on the go use, because you would rather to take something in a package like that and have all those colors available all in one, rather then carrying many nars blushes with you, this is a great palette if i find a good deal somewhere I may just purchase it anyway, even though i have most of the nars color blushes in that palette. I might be missing two shades.

    • Reply Phyllis October 18, 2012 at 11:04 pm

That’s exactly why I bought this! I hope NARS will keep coming out with similar palettes but in other shades.

By the way you have a beautiful blog, and you take amazing photos! These are so perfect photos I wonder what camera you are using, probably a dslr to get that close, and you have a great site I love the layout, it looks awesome… and its designed very clean and well I really like this style and how you have it done…. sometimes I wonder if it was professionally done or done yourself. Because I did my blog myself, and I had to teach myself, however I didnt about wordpress. But beautiful pics must be a great camera, and beautiful layout, nice presentation

Thanks Marnyc 🙂 I’ve always done everything – the makeup, writing, pictures, website etc – myself. It can get crazy sometimes but you also learn so much this way.

As for the camera, I used to use Sony Cybershot but finally upgraded to a Canon EOS Rebel T3i. You can also refer to the following entry for a few pointers on how to take good closeup pictures (it’s a little old but the tricks still apply):
