Inspired by “a trip to India”, the look at L.A.M.B Spring 2012 was all about a dark, dramatically lined eye, two-toned knots and muted navy nails.
Maybelline New York Global Makeup Artist Charlotte Willer eliminated shine and create natural with Fit Me! Powder. She swept a second, slightly darker shade under the cheekbones to contour and create definition. Next, she applied Fit Me! Blush in Deep Rose to the apples of the cheeks, creating a soft glow.
For the exaggerated winged eye, Charlotte lined the outer half of the lid and the entire lower lashline with Eye Studio Master Drama Cream Pencil in Midnight Master. She extended the liner out toward the edge of the temple and in toward the inner corner of the eye. Then she added a slight shimmer by apply the dark grey shade of Eye Studio Color Plush Silk Eyeshadow in Pink Persuasion with a liner brush over the eyeliner, on the outer corner of the eye. The look was finished with Volum’ Express The Falsies Mascara in Black Drama and a straight, dramatic brow, in which Charlotte filled in the area under the arch of the brow with Define-A-Brow Eyebrow Pencil in Soft Black.
Lips were kept natural with Shine Sensational Pop Sticks.
To create a “cool, contemporary feel”, Pantene Global Ambassador Danilo used Beautiful Lengths Smoothing Balm to slick hair into a ponytail right on top of the head and secured it with hooked elastics. Then, he placed a drawstring black hair ponytail extension on the top and pulled natural locks through. He twisted everything into a knot and let it fall onto itself, leaving a few face-framing pieces. He finished by spritzing Medium-Thick Hairspray for a harder hold.
Essie manicurist Elle painted models nails with All in One Base followed by two coats of Bobbing for Baubles. She then gave each coat two minutes to dry before finishing with Good to Go Top Coat.
