Last night at the 2009 American Music Awards, celebrities dazzled on the red carpet in spunky tube dresses and lots of glitter and shimmer.

Rihanna making a fashion statement in a laser-cut Marchesa gown with white pumps while Leona Lewis looked gorgeous in a black Vivienne Westwood dress with black booties. Is it me or is the top part of her dress exactly the same as the one she worn at the 2009 MTV Europe Music Awards?

Kristen Bell looked super cute in a bandeau top and skirt by Christian Cota, Louboutin heels, Judith Leiber clutch and a ring by Neil Lane. Carrie Underwood shone in an one-shoulder draped Theia dress with strappy golden heels and a metallic clutch.


Despite hubby Josh Duhamel’s stripper scandal, Fergie looked stunning in an uber blinged-up Armani Privé black strapless gown. Alicia Keys, on the other hand, sparkled in a jeweled tube dress with matching blue Louboutin sandals.
